Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information allshorts ("we", "us") collects when you use allshorts.net and its web app (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. If you create an account: your email address and a password, which we store only as a salted one-way hash. If you sign in with Google: your email address and your Google account identifier. We do not receive your Google password.
- Profiles and library. Profile names and avatars you choose, and the per-profile data the app saves for you: watch history, favorites, lists and settings.
- Verification codes. One-time codes we email you to verify your address or reset your password. They expire after 10 minutes.
- Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider processes your IP address, browser type and request details to deliver pages and protect the Service from abuse.
Without an account, your profiles, history and lists stay only in your browser's local storage on your device and are not sent to us.
2. How we use information
- To create and secure your account, sign you in and keep you signed in.
- To sync your profiles, history, favorites and lists across your devices.
- To send service emails such as verification and password-reset codes. We do not send marketing email.
- To operate, debug and protect the Service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Cookies and local storage
We use one essential cookie (sid) to keep you signed in; it lasts up to 30 days or until you sign out. The app uses your browser's local storage to keep your profiles and settings on your device. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
4. Google sign-in
If you choose "Sign in with Google", we request only your basic profile (email address and account identifier) to create or find your allshorts account. We do not request access to your contacts, Drive, Gmail or any other Google data.
- Access: your email address and Google account identifier, only when you choose to sign in with Google.
- Use: only to sign you in, identify your account and email you verification or account notices.
- Storage: in our account database hosted on Cloudflare, for as long as your account exists.
- Sharing: we do not share, sell or transfer Google user data to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising or to train AI models.
You can delete your data as described in section 6 and revoke allshorts' access at any time from your Google Account permissions. allshorts' use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Service providers and third parties
- Cloudflare hosts the Service, stores account data and sends our emails.
- Google provides sign-in (if you use it) and web fonts.
- jsDelivr serves the open-source video player library.
- Content sources. Videos, posters and subtitles come from third-party short-drama platforms. Loading them may send your IP address and browser details to those platforms or their CDNs.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the Service.
6. Data retention and deletion
We keep account data while your account exists. Sessions end after 30 days or when you sign out. You can delete individual profiles in the app at any time. To delete your account and all of its data, email us from the address on the account and we will delete it within 30 days. Data kept only on your device can be removed by clearing your browser's site data.
7. Security
Connections are encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and session tokens are stored only in hashed form. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to object to its processing. Contact us to make a request.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes we will notify signed-in users in the app or by email.
