Neighbor Fang Liping asks Xu Xiangqing to pick up and drop off her child along the way. What begins as a kind favor soon turns into being treated like a free babysitter, with increasingly unreasonable demands, even including other people's children. Xu Xiangqing eventually falls ill and loses a business opportunity because of these favors, so she resolutely puts an end to them. Meanwhile, Fang Liping's husband, Chen Zhigang, is competing for a construction project controlled by Xu Xiangqing's husband, Lu Chengchuan. He only discovers that the two are married when he encounters them at the airport. Desperate to secure the project, Chen Zhigang resorts to illegal practices, ultimately failing and going bankrupt. Xu Xiangqing devotes herself to fashion design, successfully launches her work, and realizes her own worth. Fang Liping and her husband also recognize their mistakes and return to properly managing their own family life.
