After graduating with a degree in Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, 24-year-old He Yuan takes a low-paying job shoveling horse manure at a private racetrack, living an ordinary and uneventful life. After recovering from a sudden high fever, he awakens a supernatural ability that allows him to clearly hear the inner thoughts of every animal. He goes on to save a champion horse mistakenly diagnosed as dying, an Alaskan Malamute refusing to eat out of jealousy, a depressed parrot plucking out its feathers, and a giant panda refusing food out of lovesickness. Combining his extraordinary ability with his professional expertise, He Yuan becomes a top animal psychologist. Overcoming industry discrimination, he wins first place in a veterinary skills competition and completely turns his life around.
