Modern researcher Lin Cong unexpectedly travels back to the primitive age and becomes an infant of the Blackstone Valley tribe. Facing food shortages and the harsh trials of bitter cold, he relies on his knowledge and patience to lead his people in preserving fire, making tools, firing pottery, recording experience, and growing crops, gradually building a new way of life founded on mutual support and cooperation. From relying on individuals to learning how to pass knowledge down, and from focusing only on the present to planning a future together, a group of simple, honest people grow side by side through laughter and companionship, using wisdom, responsibility, and warmth to illuminate their own path to civilization.
