After leading the Qingchuan Old Street and Qingshan Village cooperatives in reviving traditional woodcarving, Yang Zhi does not stop passing on the craft. He establishes the Qingchuan Craftsmanship Training Center, offering free training to a new generation of inheritors of intangible cultural heritage. He also embarks on a journey to break down the barriers between traditional craftsmanship and modern civilization, collaborating across industries with AI technology giants to create the world's first fully handcrafted smart hardware casing using a thousand-year-old mortise-and-tenon floating technique. Facing hostile acquisitions by international luxury brands and an industry-wide blockade, he astonishes audiences at a global art exhibition with a woodcarving masterpiece that folds light and shadow, bringing China's intangible cultural heritage to the pinnacle of the world stage as an independent force.
