Li Qi wakes up to find he has transmigrated into the sole son of Li Shanchang, the Duke of Han in the Great Ming. Thinking he could enjoy a life of unmatched wealth and luxury thanks to his status, he recalls history and discovers that the Li family is destined to be dragged into court factional struggles, ultimately resulting in the annihilation of his entire family. To protect his father and the lives of his whole clan, Li Qi has no choice but to hug Zhu Yuanzhang's thighs tightly and, relying on insights transcending the era, successively offer poisonous plots: establishing the Jinyiwei, abolishing the Secretariat, dividing the power of the Six Ministries, improving gunpowder, establishing a commercial alliance, and developing commerce.
