Modern office worker Xiao Xiao travels through time to the cultivation world, becoming the fourth disciple of the Mingxin Sect. The system informs her that she will be killed by having her core cut out in a month. She chooses to lie flat and slack off to survive, but because her master can eavesdrop on her inner voice, master and disciple join forces to expose the true face of third senior sister Qiao Shiyu. After descending the mountain, she meets Bu Xiuyuanxuan of the Tianxing Sect; together they slay demonic cultivators, survive heavenly tribulations, contract a phoenix, and grow from foundation-building rookies into heavenly-favored integration-stage cultivators, ultimately dismantling the conspiracy of Qiao Shiyu and the upper-realm plunderer Jiang Yun. A cultivation legend about destiny, the heavenly way, and plunder thus unfolds.
