On the journey to Shaqiu, the First Emperor is caught between political threats at court and a life-threatening illness. To turn the tide, two future emissaries carrying a mission willingly cross time and space at the cost of their lives. Chen Yao sacrifices himself to remove the poison and prolong the emperor's life, while Shen Changqing generously presents high-yield crop seeds to relieve the people's food shortages. The First Emperor turns the conspirators' schemes against them, welcomes advice from capable people, and reforms agriculture and commerce to safeguard the people's peace and well-being. Together, they bring a fresh and enduring hope to the empire.
