In the old Qingshi Alley neighborhood, 38-year-old engineer Chen Yan loses his job when his factory undergoes restructuring and sets up a small repair stall near the market, offering a simple promise: repair, never replace. But his very first customer brings nothing but an empty box, sparking different attitudes among the neighbors toward old belongings, old feelings, and trust. From being afraid of embarrassment to taking the initiative to help others, Chen Yan uses his skills not only to repair appliances but also to mend misunderstandings between neighbors. Facing doubts from competing repairmen and demands to rectify his stall, he wins everyone's recognition by running his business properly. In the end, his little stall grows into a convenient community repair center, keeping the warmth alive.
