Jiang Chen, a hidden divine doctor known as "Master Guigu", is employed at Xiangjiang Hospital while keeping his true identity deeply concealed. When hospital shareholder Wu Dong falls critically ill following a heart transplant surgery, Jiang Chen steps in to treat him, but his credit is usurped by Liu Zhiyuan. Su Yao, the returned-overseas president, listens to slanderous words and, seeing the false appearance of Jiang Chen sleeping on the job, fires him in front of everyone. Jiang Chen's junior sister Lin Wanqing arrives in time, strongly backs Jiang Chen, invites him to take office as the president of Hengyu Private Hospital, and bestows shares upon him. Mistakenly recognizing Liu Zhiyuan as Master Guigu, Su Yao promotes him to head drug research. Liu Zhiyuan possesses no true talent or learning, causing the hospital to plunge into a medical crisis. Jiang Chen conquers numerous difficult and miscellaneous diseases at Hengyu and falls in love with Lin Wanqing.
