Not only did he never remarry for the rest of his life, but he also sent money every month for Shen Jinmo and her lover Lin Yuan to squander, until he discovered the truth on his deathbed. Reborn back to the day of the fake death, he swiftly withdrew the shares, canceled her identity, and publicly announced his remarriage to anger Shen Jinxi and her sister. The fake-dead Shen Jinmo returned to the Chu family with driver Lin Yuan, feigning amnesia to force him to repay the favor. The three conspired to harm Chu Lingchuan, and at the critical moment, Jiang Qingxue broke down the door to save him.
