Wang Tiezhu leaves Huafeng Factory after being reassigned to another position. Relying on his lathe repair skills, he takes on the task of rectifying returned products at Shen Xiulan's factory, identifies deviations in the manufacturing process, and successfully completes the sample inspection. The two then work together to renovate old lathes, improve procurement, inspection, and training procedures, and build a team capable of working independently. They deliver multiple teaching equipment projects on schedule and, while balancing deadlines with quality, learn to communicate honestly and take responsibility through clear division of labor, eventually rediscovering a balance between career and personal life.
