Lu Ze, a graduate of an agricultural university, returns to his hometown to raise sheep scientifically. He issues an early warning about a sheep plague and proposes a disease-prevention plan, but is mocked and opposed by Sun Cuifen, Wang Ergou, and others. Greedy villagers choose cheap, poisonous fattening feed, leaving Lu Ze with no choice but to sign a liability waiver. When the sheep plague breaks out, every flock in the village is wiped out, while Lu Ze's sheep remain unharmed thanks to his scientific disease-prevention measures. Refusing to give in to moral pressure, he stands by his principles, secures high-end orders at premium prices, and builds a high-altitude ecological pasture. Facing one crisis after another, including poisoning and wolf attacks, Lu Ze remains calm and finds a way through every challenge. He leads the villagers who trust him toward shared prosperity and becomes a model of rural entrepreneurship.
