Shen Guodong, the richest man in Jiangcheng, concealed his identity to adopt three children, and set up a test when he was seriously ill. Only his adopted son, Shen Che, saved him at the risk of his own life, while his eldest son, Shen Zhenhong, and second daughter, Shen Menni, swapped his life-saving blood. After Shen Guodong faked his death and escaped, Shen Zhenhong and the others snatched the jade pendant symbolizing the right of inheritance in the mourning hall, and sold their family property to attend the recognition banquet. At the banquet, Shen Guodong revealed his identity, and Shen Che passed the test to become the sole heir.
