Modern office worker Chen Yang time-travels to the Great Zhou Dynasty, is wrongfully accused, and thrown into death row. With a barbarian army of 100,000 pressing on the border, he receives an emergency commission to lead an expedition while bearing his crimes, awakening the ability to communicate with beasts. He builds a cute pet squad, cleverly uses the traits of birds and beasts to resolve the border crisis, and repeatedly shatters the enemy's schemes. He firmly upholds national righteousness, wipes out internal traitors and external enemies, guards the border people, and transforms from a condemned prisoner waiting for execution into an undefeated general who protects the land and pacifies the people.
