The New Teacher's First Lesson Takes Us to See Beyond the Mountains
Lin Zhiyuan, a newly arrived adult education teacher, comes to Qinglan Mountain Village. For his first lesson, instead of teaching from textbooks, he takes the villagers to look at the mountain paths, fields, and the world beyond. A hand-drawn map lights up the night school, gradually connecting mountain fruits, bamboo weaving, cultural tourism, and cooperatives into a path forward. Through doubts, trial and error, and working together, everyone learns to see beyond the mountains and bring their skills back to the mountains.
