After college student Xu Xiaoman's father passes away, her family is left with enormous debts. During a trip to the shore to gather seafood, she is struck by an electric eel and unexpectedly gains the ability to communicate with marine life. Her greedy brother-in-law, Chen Biao, repeatedly shows up to make trouble, so Xu Xiaoman resolves to support her family by gathering seafood. Xiaomi, a hermit crab she rescues, leads its entire group to follow her, while dolphins, sea otters, and other marine creatures come to her aid, constantly bringing her valuable seafood. She establishes a long-term partnership with a seafood dealer and soon repays all the debts. Later, Xu Xiaoman offers three times the usual price for marine litter, leads local fishermen in cleaning up the waters, protects marine life, punishes evildoers, and earns both wealth and the trust of the entire ocean.
