At the Shen family's birthday banquet, Shen Huaishan, the old master of the martial arts school, offers an enormous dowry and publicly seeks a husband for his daughter to save the family. Shen Mingyue, whose face has been disfigured by a fire poison that destroyed half of it, becomes the laughingstock of the gathering. At her darkest moment, Lu Chengzhou, a reclusive grandmaster who has reached the Transformation Realm, arrives in ordinary clothes and publicly vows that he will marry no one but her. Years ago, when Lu Chengzhou was down on his luck, Shen Mingyue once helped him. He has now come especially to repay her kindness and protect her. Using his medical skills, he heals her scars and uses his formidable martial arts to subdue Zhou Lie, the traitor within the martial arts school. He also repeatedly foils Zhao Shijie's schemes to seize Shen Mingyue by force and exposes a sinister plot involving chronic poisoning. Together, they clear their names of online abuse and false accusations, establish a martial arts foundation with the five-hundred-million dowry, and restore the glory of the Canglang Martial Arts School.
