A village boy, Su Shi'er, suffers a tragic massacre of his family. He carries a mysterious ancestral alchemy furnace and joins the Yunge Sect to cultivate immortality. Because he possesses the worst mixed spiritual roots, he is assigned to the perilous and remote discarded alchemy room as a handyman. In a desperate situation, he unexpectedly discovers that the alchemy furnace can refine waste pills into supreme-grade pills. Relying on this, he fights fierce beasts, resists fellow disciples, and ventures into ancient restricted secret realms, making steady progress step by step in the law-of-the-jungle cultivation world. While hiding his secret treasures and tracking down the true culprits of the family massacre, he embarks on a mortal's counterattacking path of demonstrating the Dao.
