Xu Nian, chief secretary of the Fu Group, accidentally enters President Fu Yan's room after the company's celebration banquet. After one reckless night together, she leaves behind a one-yuan coin and flees in a panic. A month later, she discovers that she is pregnant, while Fu Yan happens to be holding that very coin in his hand. He relentlessly pursues her, from asking, "Secretary Xu, would you like to become Mrs. Fu?" to publicly announcing, "She is my exclusive chief secretary." She runs, he chases—from cornering her against the elevator wall at the company to snatching her away at the hospital, from picking her up on a stormy night to blocking her path at the Civil Affairs Bureau. She fears repeating her mother's fate, but he refuses to let go. A tie bought for one yuan ultimately leads to a marriage certificate.
