A hundred years ago, the Demon Emperor Mo Cang was misunderstood by his daughter Yue'er for harming her mother, and he hid her in the forbidden land. The body double Lingyu grew jealous, subjected Yue'er to the punishment of plucking scales and pulling tendons, and pushed her into the Jiuyou Abyss of Souls. Mo Cang executed Lingyu and searched the three realms for a lifeline. A hundred years later, Yue'er used Mo Cang's heart blood to be reborn as the Jiuyou Immortal Venerable, making a strong return.
