Lu Huanshan, a national-level scientific research academician who has hidden his name for twenty-five years, has finally emerged from the mountains after completing a top-secret scientific research task in the deep mountains. Externally, he bears the illusion of "serving a prison sentence," of which his wife Li Xiulan and son Lu Mingxuan are completely unaware. Coinciding with his grandson's full-month banquet, Lu Huanshan returns, wanting to quietly make it up to his family, but encounters his in-laws Liu Jinzhi and Xu Guoqiang seizing the opportunity to demand an educational fund of 880,000. His daughter-in-law Xu Mengyao has just been exceptionally promoted to vice president, snobbish and arrogant, publicly humiliating Lu Huanshan's background. To defend his father, Lu Mingxuan decisively divorces Xu Mengyao.
