The second season of this period short drama follows Zhou Jichuan, who is now married and has a child. Drawing on his family's inherited knowledge of river conditions, he helps engineers avoid hidden underwater hazards and ensures the new bridge is built successfully. Unexpectedly, his elder uncle, Zhou Degui, becomes addicted to gambling and mortgages the land deed to the old ferry crossing to the local bully, Third Master Cao, who intends to seize the crossing.
