Jiang Shi is reborn from the nightmare of the execution ground, returning to the eve of the Jiang family's conviction and confiscation. Holding the late emperor's bestowal of the Phoenix Holding Jade, she sees through her biological son Jiang Mingyuan being bewitched by powerful nobles, attempting to offer the tiger tally and invite disaster to annihilate the clan. She feigns obedience, perfunctorily handling the rebellious son with a fake tiger tally, recalls her adopted son Pei Yan overnight, and tightly grips the real tiger tally. While preserving the mistreated collateral grandson Jiang Lin, she gathers evidence of the noble consort and the first prince illicitly selling military rations. Storms rise one after another, frame-ups follow closely; using the late emperor's secret proof within the Phoenix Holding Jade, Jiang Shi turns the tide, cuts off internal traitors, topples treacherous officials, washes away the grievances of the entire Jiang family, supports Jiang Lin to take on the family business, and guards the loyal foundation of the Jiang family amidst wind and rain.
