After graduating from university, Chen Yang originally planned to follow his parents to live in the city, but a fierce conflict erupted because his parents insisted on selling Heihu, who had accompanied him as he grew up. Heihu understands human nature and values loyalty, saving Lin Xiaoya who accidentally fell into the water. His parents failed twice in selling Heihu, which also made the conflict between Chen Yang and his parents escalate continuously. Finally, Chen Jianguo went up the mountain to chop firewood in a fit of anger and accidentally fell down a hillside. Heihu desperately ran home to report the news and was hit and injured by a car on the way. Ultimately, Chen Jianguo was saved, while Heihu suffered severe injuries and was at death's door. Chen Jianguo and his wife finally recognized their own mistakes, understood their son's feelings for Heihu, and treated Heihu kindly.
