Lu Yunzhao, the head of the Xie family, takes her daughter back to her hometown to pay respects to their ancestors. On the way, she encounters Ye Zhiwei, a little beggar with a plum blossom birthmark on her forehead, which is extremely similar to the birthmark her own daughter had when she was born. Lu Yunzhao abruptly discovers that the identity of the daughter she has cherished for eighteen years is in doubt, and secretly begins an investigation. A falsified paternity test temporarily refutes her suspicion, but in her interactions with Ye Zhiwei, Lu Yunzhao gradually discovers various suspicious points, making her realize a shocking conspiracy. In a calculated game of wits and strategy, Lu Yunzhao exposes her sister-in-law's crimes of switching daughters and embezzling family property, reclaims the group, and finds her biological daughter. After eighteen years of displaced lives, mother and daughter finally reunite and stay together.
