Third-tier obscure actress Xu Jin'an and triple-crown Best Actor He Ran spark a "proposal" scandal due to an accident. To calm public opinion, both teams sign a six-month contract to pretend to be a couple and participate in a dating reality show. Amidst program lenses and cohabitating life, He Ran schemes step-by-step and exhausts his gentleness, while Xu Jin'an mistakes this partiality for the Best Actor's professional acting, struggling between sober restraint and repeated capitulation. As the dating show explodes in popularity, netizens dig up old photos of the two at Hualing University from seven years ago. Re-exploring the old auditorium under the inspiration of her dreams, Xu Jin'an finally pieces together the truth: He Ran, who was in a trough period seven years ago, had been encouraged by her and has harbored a secret crush on her for a full seven years ever since.
