Su Xihe, a modern supermarket cashier, unexpectedly transmigrates into a novel and becomes a cannon-fodder wife who suffers constant bullying. She is also bound to a disaster-year survival system. In front of everyone, she exposes the scandalous affair between her ex-husband, Gu Yanze, and Zhou Guilan, then decisively divorces him and takes her daughter, Xiaoman, back to her maiden family. Knowing that an extreme cold disaster is coming, she leads her family in stockpiling supplies and building defenses, while persuading the entire village to overcome the crisis together. Along the way, she meets Huo Sheng, a general suffering from amnesia, and the two gradually fall in love. After Huo regains his memories, they return to the capital together and join forces to expose the treasonous conspiracy of the corrupt official Zhao Henian, who has colluded with the enemy, and save the critically ill Old Madam Huo. Su Xihe is honored with the title of Imperial Mandate Lady, but declines the generous rewards and volunteers to return to her hometown to provide disaster relief.
