Ordinary office worker Jiang He died in a subway zombie wave, unexpectedly reborn back to three hours before the virus outbreak. Seeing through how people would not easily believe the doomsday prophecy, she did not spread the word everywhere, but instead overdrew all her money to frantically hoard food and water purification devices, heavily reinforced her home's door, kindly reminded the grandma downstairs to avoid the disaster, and warned her best friend Lin Qiao in advance to stock up on supplies. As zombies swept through the entire city on schedule, the apartment residents discovered that Jiang He had hoarded a large amount of supplies and collectively came to her door to demand them. After being rejected, they harbored evil intentions and teamed up to break in and rob her, with the huge commotion attracting a large number of zombies, and this group of looters all mutated. Three months into the doomsday, her best friend Lin Qiao was taken hostage to her door by her boyfriend Zhou Yan, a member of the looting organization.
