Following her master's orders, Taotao descends the mountain to undergo cultivation and seek out her six senior brothers, fellow disciples who have long since made their names famous across the Three Realms. Wearing a pink silk Taoist robe patched all over and leading her plump white goose, Dabai, she may seem innocent and naive, but with what her master calls "basic beginner techniques," she turns the established order upside down wherever she goes. She summons ten thousand swords to sing in unison with a dead branch, making her name known throughout Sword Dao Mountain; transforms an ordinary bird into a divine phoenix of the Nine Heavens, sweeping through the Battle of All Spirits; crafts a supreme-grade pill in her very first furnace, astonishing Longevity Valley; and splits open the barrier of the Underworld with a single sword strike, charging straight into the Netherworld Domain.
