Senior planner Lin Wan has been spending her own money every day to prepare premium weight-loss meals for her colleagues, charging just 200 yuan a month. When new intern Zhou Ke publicly accuses her of making an outrageous profit, her coworkers turn against her. Zhou Ke then offers luxurious lunches for free, but the meals actually come from an unsanitary operation using spoiled seafood, leaving the entire team with food poisoning. On the eve of a multimillion-yuan pitch, the team falls apart. Lin Wan faces the client alone, wins them over with her backup proposal, secures the major contract, and is promoted to Creative Director and Partner. Zhou Ke is fired and sued, while the ungrateful coworkers are demoted. Refusing to be manipulated by guilt, Lin Wan cuts ties with them for good and learns that nothing is more expensive than something advertised as free. Real ability is her ultimate trump card.
