Chen Haichuan of Haihuai Village takes over the debts of Xu Wanning's family and their broken fishing boat. He repairs the boat, heads out to sea to catch crabs, and pays off the debt, discovering a hidden crab fishing ground along the way. When fellow fishermen compete for resources and encounter violent storms, Chen Haichuan rescues people and upholds fishing regulations. Guided by a sea chart left behind by his father, the family bravely ventures onto an island and finds Xu Wanning's father, who had been missing for several months.
