A modern person, Li Yan, transmigrated to become the Emperor of Great Xia. The late emperor indulged in beauty, trusted the empress's relatives blindly, emptied the national treasury, and alienated wise ministers, leaving the dynasty on the verge of ruin. Upon awakening, Li Yan decisively purged the rebellious factions, put capable generals in important positions, established the Jinyiwei to overhaul the court, and improved weaponry to fend off external enemies. He led campaigns in all directions, pacified various nations, intimidated the northern nomadic tribes, unified the world, won the devotion of all surrounding tribes, and ushered in a golden age of peace.
