Technical expert Lin Zhou is urgently hired to repair a factory's paralyzed equipment and discovers that the malfunction was caused by an employee's violation of operating procedures. Although he successfully restores production, the investor breaks the promise to pay him 50,000 yuan and gives him only 1,000 yuan. Upholding the sanctity of contracts, Lin Zhou refuses a subsequent request for a discounted recalibration and demands 500,000 yuan. Ultimately, the violator is punished by law, while Lin Zhou earns respect through his technical expertise and establishes standards and dignity for the industry.
