My Neighbor Filled In the Ditch and Flooded My Fields, So I Turned the Mud Into a Sea of Flowers
To expand his fish farm, neighbor Wang Fugui secretly filled in the drainage ditch in the middle of the night. A torrential downpour then flooded the twenty mu of fruit fields that Lin Qiuyue had worked so hard to maintain. He even tried to buy her remaining fifteen-year operating rights for 80,000 yuan! Refusing to back down, Lin Qiuyue drew on years of seedling-growing experience and replanted the low-lying muddy fields with moisture-tolerant flowers, opening up a new market starting with a trial order of just 300 pots. When her neighbor resorted to blocking roads, cutting off deliveries, and fighting over land, she countered each move with her expertise and solid evidence. In the end, the drainage ditch was restored, Wang Fugui's scheme fell apart, and the once-muddy fields blossomed into a dazzling sea of flowers.
