Lin Zhangkong's spiritual root test rated mortal-grade, yet he was strongly supported by Luo Qinghan and Qin Hao out of camaraderie. Unwilling to hold the two back, he advised them to stay in the Qingyun Sect. Soon after, Lin Zhangkong awakened a system, giving up the risky climb of the Heaven-Ascending Steps to head down the mountain and bide his time to grow stronger. At that moment, a celestial anomaly abruptly appeared, and the Qingyun Sect Master descended with elders, taking a fancy to the aptitude of Luo Qinghan and Qin Hao to accept them as direct disciples. Luo Qinghan insisted on bringing Lin Zhangkong into the sect, but was dissuaded by Lin Zhangkong. Just when everyone thought Lin Zhangkong would be driven away, the Sect Master made an exception allowing him to enter the Scripture Pavilion as a handyman, and the Scripture Pavilion became his supreme blessed land to rise through the Dao and make a counter-attack growth.
