Modern special forces soldier Zhou Qi accidentally travels through time to the broken-array camp at the Daning border, where he meets the distressed Gu Yilan in a harsh environment, gathers scattered soldiers, and guards the abandoned Ghost Sorrow Ravine beacon tower. Relying on his skills, he resists the invasions of Tianlang and receives an imperial appointment for his military exploits. Later, he subdues Lin Hongxiu and her Black Cloud Fortress followers, cleverly captures the enemy horse farm, and expands his forces and supplies. As everyone relocates to select a site in Qingniu Town to build a garrison and settle down to develop, they unexpectedly discover hidden clues, and the hidden border winds and clouds are about to arrive.
