Orphaned Suisui is sold by her relatives. In her hour of crisis, she awakens the fallen phoenix Feng Jiutian trapped inside a clay sculpture. The once-mighty phoenix is now left with only a few feathers, and his fire-breathing frequently backfires. Traveling together as companions, human and chicken accidentally uncover Suisui's heritage: she is the daughter of Feng Jiutian's past love, Ying Yatou, and carries the rare Nine-Flavor True Fire. Ancestral plots arrive one after another as Suisui and the reborn Feng Jiutian join hands to fight the crisis and protect those around them.
