Under their master's guidance, two adult vocational trainees take on the task of restoring twelve old wooden chairs in eight days. Facing loose joints, wear and tear, material shortages, and time pressure, they travel between night school, the repair shop, and the reclaimed materials warehouse, experimenting with techniques and adjusting their division of labor. Through trust and teamwork, the partners overcome challenges, bringing the old chairs back to a small shop on the street corner. In the process of honest, hands-on work, the trainees find their direction and learn that growth comes from patience, responsibility, and supporting one another.
