After intern doctor Lin Ran binds himself to the Divine Doctor System, he angrily quits his job and sets up a medical stall on the street. Starting with his first patient, he uses a single needle and a dose of medicine to conquer Jiangcheng's most difficult medical cases, from helping programmers regrow their hair to rehabilitating elderly stroke patients and repairing a diva's vocal cords. Every treatment causes a sensation. Sharp-tongued and money-loving but principled, he appears to have given up on ambition, yet his heart is full of compassion. As he proves his doubters wrong, he heals both illnesses and the warmth and coldness of human nature. His reputation as a miracle doctor spreads throughout the city, but all he wants is to save enough money to retire early and take it easy.
