Lin Ce, the ancient county magistrate of Qinghe County, unexpectedly travels to modern times and is appointed as the director of Xingfuli, a residential community riddled with conflicts. Accustomed to using ancient political stratagems and judicial reasoning to handle neighborhood disputes, property management squabbles, and other modern trivialities, he creates countless hilarious misunderstandings. He wins over talented residents from all walks of life, including a veteran community grid worker, twin security guards, food delivery workers, and a parcel station owner, forming a community team. While resolving disputes among homeowners and tackling everyday problems, he also fights back against the schemes and pressure tactics of unscrupulous property managers Wu Dehai and Zheng Wenbin. Drawing on the wisdom of the ancients, Lin Ce ingeniously overcomes one predicament after another and revitalizes the aging residential complex, transforming chaotic Xingfuli into a model community.
