In a tiny village hidden inside a flowerpot, the villagers live in houses built from branches. The village has a strict rule forbidding anything from growing taller. Whenever a branch crosses the marked line, giant scissors descending from the sky come down to trim it. By chance, a young girl named A Ya discovers the truth about their world and learns that a vast expanse of land exists beyond the flowerpot. The Water Official controls all the resources and only wants to escape with a select few. Unwilling to abandon her fellow villagers, A Ya unites the entire community, dismantles old houses to gather supplies, and uses living roots to build a bridge leading to the outside world. Together, they break free from the chains of injustice, leave their cramped miniature garden behind, and establish a new village on the vast land beyond. From then on, the villagers no longer fear growing, and everyone has the right to reach for the sunlight.
