Gaming streamer Lu Yan encounters a zombie outbreak on the subway, where he meets a girl named Jiang You who claims to have experienced multiple cycles of reincarnation. The two join forces with combat expert Zhao Li, disease control researcher Lin Wei, and others to fight their way through the chaos and gradually uncover the truth. Jiang You is actually a test subject in a reincarnation project, and the apocalypse began because of her. To atone for her mistakes, Jiang You uses her own blood together with antibodies from Patient Zero, Liu Yiming, to develop a cure. They ultimately succeed in curing the infected and rebuilding the city. Amid the apocalypse, Lu Yan and Jiang You also find love and welcome a hopeful new beginning.
