The ancient tabby cat spirit Li Sui'an has lived through myriad years; Dongxian Lake was once his cat nest, and he even lent out his teething stick when Dayu regulated the waterways. Weary of conflicts, he heads to the Monster Management Bureau to apply for retirement, only wanting to collect his monthly pension to buy small dried fish. However, due to his ancient foundation, Director Bai Zhu and all the monsters hold him in awe and reverence, venerating him as the ancestor of the demon race. The monsters excessively interpret his daily requests, competing to offer up supreme treasures. An unruly black dragon provokes him, only to be crushed by him with a flick of his finger. Later, the ancient fierce beast Yamata no Orochi breaks its seal and wreaks havoc. Li Sui'an reveals his chaotic true form, annihilating the enemy with a single claw, and returns to his mountain peak to enjoy a Buddhist-style retirement life.
