Chen Fan's third uncle, Chen Yanshan, was once extremely wealthy and philanthropic, but went to prison for six years taking the blame for a brother. On the day of his release, Chen Fan invited relatives who had once received favors from the third uncle to go and welcome him, but unexpectedly they avoided the third uncle like the plague. Only Chen Fan, grateful for the third uncle's kindness, drove alone to meet him. At the Mid-Autumn family banquet, the relatives all sneered at the third uncle and had terrible attitudes, and only Chen Fan stepped forward to speak up for justice for the third uncle. At this moment, the third uncle announced he would give Chen Fan a big gift, leaving the ungrateful wolfish relatives regretting it to their entrails.
