Modern office worker Meng Yao time-travels to become the head of the down-and-out Heavenly Sect. To prevent her sect from being delisted in the Grand Tournament of Ten Thousand Sects, she recruits disciples everywhere. Believing herself to be a "novice" with zero cultivation, she has no idea that her casual sweeping, vegetable watering, cooking, and Tai Chi can trigger the Dao. Human Saint Shen Zhaoci, Demon Realm Lord Xiao Wujun, and Demon Emperor Lie Jiaoyang successively become her disciples and fall in love with her. Along the way, Meng Yao accidentally subdues powerful enemies, defeats the underworld and the world-destroying patriarch, leads three thousand disciples to win first place in the ten-thousand-sect tournament, and finally learns her true immortal identity to officially take over the real Heavenly Court.
