Princess Lin Zhiyi accidentally binds herself to a system designed to help wicked supporting female characters save themselves. She learns that her destined fate is to have her spiritual root ripped out, be disfigured, imprisoned, and ultimately die a tragic death. Determined to defy fate and rewrite her destiny, she passes the Ascension to Immortality Trial. Thanks to her extraordinary aptitude, possessing a ten-out-of-ten mutated Thunder Spiritual Root and a Yin Spiritual Root, she is exceptionally accepted as Feng Linyuan's personal disciple. Su Qingxue, the chosen heroine of destiny, grows jealous and activates her protagonist's halo to suppress Lin Zhiyi at every turn, only to be repeatedly humiliated and defeated by her. Through secret realm adventures, sect competitions, and suppressing rebellions in the mortal world, Lin Zhiyi grows stronger with her master's protection and her companions' support. She even tames the divine beast Thunder Emperor Gagaga and breaks free from the suppression of the protagonist's halo. Finally, at the Peach Banquet in the Jade Lake, she joins forces with everyone to expose Su Qingxue's conspiracy with the demonic mastermind behind the scenes.
