Lu Chuan, a university graduate from a 211 Project university, gives up the opportunity to pursue further studies in a major city and returns to his hometown to establish a renovation team, leading fellow villagers out of poverty. Unexpectedly, he is framed for embezzling construction funds by his childhood friend Zhao Hu and Sun Haoyu, a corrupt village official. Heartbroken, Lu Chuan disbands the team and turns to a neighboring village instead. With his integrity and hard work, he leads the neighboring villagers to prosperity, while those who betrayed his trust ultimately suffer the consequences of their own actions, illustrating the simple truth that only sincerity can be met with sincerity.
