Mo Nian, a young man from Blue Star, travels into the world of Flying Immortal's Path to the Dao, 500 years before the game's launch. By chance, he inherits the legacy of the Heavenly Venerable of Deliverance from Calamity and joins forces with A Li, a bull demon, to roam the world of immortal cultivation. One man and one bull constantly trade barbs, yet entrust their lives to each other. Relying on his memories of the game and his mastery of sinister cultivation techniques, Mo Nian uncovers conspiracies, slays demons and evil spirits, seeks justice for the innocent, and finds a place of rest for lonely, wandering souls. Amid laughter and banter, he faces danger at every turn. As the struggle for control of the dragon veins intensifies and a catastrophic demonic calamity looms, this sharp-tongued but soft-hearted young Taoist insists on using methods no one else understands to protect the righteous path in his heart.
