Lu Yunsong, a lifelong wild-bee hunter, lives in the city helping his son's family with household chores and caring for his grandson. On his fiftieth birthday, he only wants a cup of his own honey water, but his daughter-in-law looks down on him. Heartbroken, he bids farewell to his son and returns to the mountains. There, he encounters the younger Xu Shanhe and puts his long-honed beekeeping skills to use, searching for wild honey deep in the hills. His high-quality cliff honey brings him into contact with Ye Qinghe, an entrepreneur in the food and beverage industry. Together, they establish a standardized apiary, encouraging returning villagers and local young people to learn beekeeping. After experiencing life's hardships, his son Lu Huaizhou finally comes to his senses and learns to earn an honest living.
